AC bats stay hot for second consecutive run-rule victory

Facing a 6-3 deficit to begin the third inning. Amarillo College plated eight runs in the bottom of the frame to secure yet another come-from-behind victory.

AC won the contest by the score of 16-6 in five innings.

The Badgers eight-run fourth inning featured three singles, two doubles, two walks, and a two-run homer by Benavidez – his fourth of the series.

Sydney Ward and David De Hoyos ignited the Badgers offense in the inning via back-to-back doubles with one out. Bush, Prado, and Hamilton followed with singles before Benavidez went yard on the first pitch thrown to him.

Watkins hit two home runs in the contest – tying his career-high mark – and four AC batters finished with double-digit hits.

De Hoyos, Bush, and Saleh had two hits apiece, while Watkins led the Badgers with three hits.

Freshman Duncan Bowles kept his record spotless as the Randall High product picked up his second complete-game win during game three. Bowles had five strikeouts and walked two batters to improve his season record to 6-0.
