Baseball

Amarillo College Baseball made its NJCAA D1 debut in 2022-2023 when the Amarillo College Badgers competed in the western half of the rugged, 10-team Western Junior College Athletic Association.

The Amarillo College Badgers home games will be played in downtown Amarillo at awe-inspiring Hodgetown, one of the finest minor league stadiums in anywhere. With a seating capacity in excess of 6,500, Hodgetown is the $46 million home of the Amarillo Sod Poodles, the Double A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks.

AC’s schedule will consist of 14 scrimmage dates in the fall of 2022 and 56 regular-season games beginning in February 2023. In addition to Hodgetown, the baseball program will be training in the newly renovated FirstBank Southwest Center located on AC’s Washington Street Campus.

The vision of Amarillo College Baseball is to be recognized as one of the premier NJCAA baseball programs in the country, by exemplifying the principles and values of excellence both on the playing field and in the classroom. AC intends to achieve elite status as a baseball program through an unwavering commitment to integrity, hard work, loyalty, and discipline under head baseball coach Brandon Rains.
