MC responds to game one loss with run-rule victory

Midland College had the third-best batting average in the country to begin the series.

That rate was exemplified in spades during game two.

The Chaps broke the game open during the third inning as the home team plated 10 runs to take an 11-1 lead. Midland College hit five doubles and a two-run home run in the frame.

AC was outhit 11-4 in the five-inning contest.

Bret Deegan tallied four strikeouts, walked four batters, and allowed eight hits. His record is now 7-2 in nine starts.

Bryce Gilchrist, Carter Beard, and Isaac Garza provided relief on the mound to close the game for the Badgers. Gilchrist allowed one hit, one walk, and two earned runs in a 0.1 innings.

Beard allowed two hits and two earned runs in 0.1 innings.

Garza struck out one batter and gave up no hits in the final 0.2 frames.
