NMMI claims comeback victory, wins series 3-1

AC was seemingly on its way to a series split as the seventh inning concluded in game four.

The Badgers scored two runs in the first inning, two in the third, and three in the fourth to take a 7-4 advantage. AC added one run in the seventh to extend their lead to 8-4.

NMMI narrowed the deficit to 8-5 in the seventh frame before securing the victory in the eighth. A two-run homer by Junhyuk Kwon with one out cut AC's lead to 8-7.

Following a ground out, NMMI record a double, single, and double to take a 9-8 advantage.

AC batters went down in order to end the game after the top of the ninth frame.

Colton Klemke got the start on the mound for the Badgers and went 2/3 innings before Bryce Gilchrist took to the hill. Klemke allowed four earned runs, two walks, and struck out one batter.

Gilchrist threw a career high seven innings and allowed no earned runs during inning two through six. The freshman struck out three batters and four earned runs before being relieved by Isaac Garza in the eighth frame.

Garza walked one and allowed no hits.
