De Hoyos, Watson named AC Athletes of the Week

David De Hoyos recorded his second multi-homer series of the season during the Badgers road trip to Hobbs, April 12-13. The Smithson Valley High School alum hit one home run in game two and game four against New Mexico Junior College.

De Hoyos finished the series with a 1.444 slugging percentage.

The freshman was 6-of-9 at the plate and had a .727 on-base percentage during the four-game set.

De Hoyos is hitting a .417 average and has a .694 slugging percentage in 24 conference games this season.

Gabe Watson struck out three batters and gave up no earned runs in two relief appearances last week. The Purdue University baseball commit has 17 strikeouts compared to three earned runs in seven appearances since transitioning to a relief role on March 29.
