AC volleyball announces 2024 fall schedule

Amarillo College volleyball has announced its 2024 schedule for the upcoming fall season.

The Badgers third season since the reboot of athletics at AC will feature seven conference home games and the Amarillo College Volleyball Tournament – scheduled for Sept. 13-14 at the FirstBank Southwest Center.

In total, Amarillo College is scheduled to play 11 home games in 2024.

The upcoming season for the Badgers will begin on Friday, Aug. 23 and Saturday, Aug. 24 in Roswell, New Mexico at the NMMI Classic.

Amarillo College then travels to Colorado to play four games in three locations over a three-day span.

The Badgers will play Trinidad State on the Trojans home floor on Tuesday, Aug. 27 before heading to Lamar for a triangular on Wednesday Aug. 28, which includes Pratt Community College.

On Thursday, Aug. 29, the Badgers wrap up their trip to Colorado with a morning matchup against Otero College in La Junta.

AC’s last away tournament of the regular season is set to take place at Weatherford College on Friday, Sept. 6 and Saturday Sept. 7. The Badgers are scheduled to play two games each day, including a matchup on Sept. 6 against the host Coyotes, who finished in eighth place at the NJCAA D-I Championships a season ago.

The Badgers home tourney will conclude its non-conference slate. At the AC tourney, the Badgers will play Independence Community College and Trinidad St. on Sept. 13. During day two of the event, AC matches up against Blinn Community College and Frank Phillips College.

Blinn is one of two 2024 non-conference opponents that finished the season ranked in 2023. The Buccaneers concluded last season as the 11th ranked team in NJCAA D-I.
