Badger XC Teams ranked 20th to begin 2023 season

The NJCAA Division I Men’s Cross Country USTFCCCA National Coaches’ Preseason Poll was released on Sept. 6 and both Amarillo College cross country teams were slotted as the 20th ranked teams in their respective divisions.

Out of Region V programs, the men’s teams is ranked fifth behind New Mexico Junior College (No. 2), El Paso CC (No. 11), Ranger (No. 15), and Hill (No. 16).

The Lady Badgers are third out of the Region V programs in the preseason poll, trailing only New Mexico Junior College (No. 2) and El Paso Community College (No. 7).

Last season, the Badger men’s team finished in 19th place at nationals in the 8K race while the Lady Badgers took 13th as a team.

The next set of rankings are scheduled to come out on Wednesday, Sept. 20.
